We were adamant about keeping and legalizing our November 20th anniversary—an anniversary we’ve held since 2007—but did not want to host a wedding in November.
The purpose of our little legal ceremony was to mark and celebrate the legalization of our partnership. In Rhode Island, we are binding personalized vows to each other and celebrating our union.

We are not including kids in the rehearsal dinner, ceremony or reception.
We recognize that some of you will choose to travel with your kids. Bridesmaid, Mom, and all-around amazing person, Anelise Shrout is organizing a shared babysitting service for those who need childcare while attending the event. Please reach out to her at shrouta@gmail.com if you are interested in shared childcare and costs.

Yes, there is a room block at the The Fairfield Inn & Suites across the street. Head to Travel & Stay for details.
Be sure to book your room by midnight on 9/15/25 to secure your room and rate. After this date, reservations and rates are subject to availability.

You are staying at Shepherd’s Run. The room you are staying in was shared in the Bridal Party Proposal package that you received.

If the weather is nice, the ceremony will be held outdoors in an open-air grass courtyard. If not, the ceremony will indoors.
No matter what the weather, the cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.

We do not recommend wearing stiletto heels because the ceremony may be on grass. Chunky heels or sandals are best (or change into stilettos after the ceremony).
